Although we are still experiencing temps in the 90's. here in Northern Calif. fall is definitely approaching. The rising and setting sun has moved noticeably to the south and the light at the beginning and end of the day has changed as well. The kids are back in school as is my wife. I am tired of cooking and eating grilled foods. The tomatoes that I craved in April although still quite delicious have lost some of their appeal. Looking forward to stews and soups as the cool season approaches. We have a good month of this in between season before fall is truly here. The completion of the wine grape harvest will mark the beginning of the fall season. A crayfish party is planned for family and friends at that time.

Yes Julie, the same thing has been happening here where I live. Everything has turned red and orange and yellow almost two months ahead of time. I can feel it in my bones that we are in for a long-wet-Fall and cold Winter. Time to stock up on hot chocolate and things to keep one warm! So you should throw an end of Summer and a Happy Autumn BBQ to celebrate the change of the seasons.
