The restaurant created by the renowned young chef, Pontus Frithiof who began working in the kitchen at the young age of 15 and was later trained by Erik Lallerstedt. After a few years with Erik Lallerstedt, Pontus was presented with the opportunity to go to Paris and Brussels to work at renowned restaurants. Skip ahead a few years and in 1996, Pontus was named Head Chef at Eriks in the Old Town of Stockholm. That was a decisive step in what would later become the renowned Pontus in the Green House. After opening a string of other restaurants Pontus by the Sea was born. The French brasserie in Skeppsbron is perfectly located on the water of Stockholm’s Gamla Stan (old city). The menu is inspired by French and Italian cuisine with local Scandinavian ingredients fused in. A must try is there selection of fresh daily seafood. The restaurant has a summer Riviera feeling with its significant – 55 meters outdoor veranda with unbeatable views, sea breeze in your hair and very fresh fish on plates. When autumn arrives, embrace the outdoors with a long cozy couch, a glass of wine or two from their exciting wine cellar and you will find yourself reflecting over the reflecting sea and royal surroundings.
