Anyone who’s looking for an employee?

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Right now I’m so annoyed with the boss of my job. Feels like he thinks that he could treat me however he likes. Some days ago I said to my friends that I rather “work” as a housewife than at the café and that’s an evidence of how much I dislike it there, ’cause I would never ever accept if my future husband would demand that I should stay at home with the kids. Anyway, the boss is so awful! He gives too many promises of work opportunities and he always breaks them! E.g. Last week he said that I could work the whole last week except Monday, Wednesday and Sunday and I only got to work on Tuesday and for two hours on Thursday. He also said that I could work this week, all days, but this morning he contacted me and said “no work this week”. It’s so annoying ’cause I really need the money!

I really feel like he has taken advantage of my workforce and I don’t think this is seldom in the café, bar and resturant business. It’s so wrong when café owners treat their workers in this way. It’s also irrespectively and selfish by him! I mean, I also have bills to pay and I need money for upcoming trips. How can some people regard that they could treat young people however they like? We also have rights and I’m so irritated ’cause I have never let anyone step on me! You know what, I’m so tempted by contacting the work agency and report my boss. I’m probably not the first young girl that he has taken advantage of. Really should begin with sending out emails to people who possibly could hire me… Oh I know! If anyone of you readers is looking for an employee, don’t hesitate for contacting me! Comment and I’ll send my resumé. :)

Italy, Italy, Italy

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

First of all, sorry for the big gaps of my updates, that wasn’t at all my intention. However, I haven’t even logged into the computer since I gave you the last update on Sunday. I promised that I would tell you about my Italy trip, so of course I will do that! I think the problem concerning too less storage space remains so I still can’t upload any pictures. Must remember to contact admin about that.

Italy and the trip could be explained with two words: amazing and (110%) lovely! There were no reasons to complain about the weather, but if you’re a Swede- you’re a Swede and don’t think much before adding a comment on how hot it is. I went there as a leader for a group of lovely teeanagers in the ages of 14-15 years. Their trip was their confirmation trip so it wasn’t that strange that we went to the little holy town Assisi, situated in the Umbria region in central Italy. The aim was of course to experience the culture of the many Franciscan churches and not to lay on the beach and get tanned. The town is about an hour or so away from the nearest coast so we were quite lucky when we found a terrace at our hotel and a hose! The kids wondered of course where the pool was! There is actually a swimming pool in Assisi but it hadn’t opened yet for the season when we were there.

What I probably miss the most is obviously the atmosphere, people, weather and the ice cream! Seriously, I could base my diet on Italian ice cream! I asked the kids what they had learnt from the trip and a guy answered: “That the Swedish ice cream sucks!”. And that’s so true, after work on Tuesday (yes, I actually got to work!) I went to Kungsträdgården and bought S.I.A ice cream and well… It lacked of so much taste…  Anyway, I didn’t shop that much in Italy, but I bought a dress and some bottles of wine. And some local chocolate to my family :) . I hope I will receive more storage space soon ’cause it’s so much easier and better to describe the trip with pictures. And then you will see how beautiful the town is and its view!

Think I’ll write more later or tomorrow ’cause I need to get up to the roof of the house so I won’t miss the sunset. Just need to get a bottle of sparkling wine and then I’m ready!

Have a nice summer night!

The sun is shining today!

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

So, my job situation could really be better than what it is right now. I have a job, but the owner of the café don’t let me work! That’s so annoying. For the first time for four years I’m 100% free from any kind of work. So this is my third day without any plans at all and I try to think out how I should entertain myself. The weather is apparentley nice so I think I’ll go out and just lay under the sun. Have to work on my Italian tan!

I would really like to show pictures from my Italian trip but there’s no space for more pictures! A bit annoying, it gets a bit dry without any pictures. Don’t have so much more to say (as I can’t show my photos…) so I give an update later instead!

Back in town

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

Hi guys!

I’m a bit of a hurry so don’t have time to write a novel so I keep it short. Just wanted to say that I’m back from Italy and that I had a great time over there. The weather was soooo nice (sun and ~30-35˚C EVERY day), yeah, in short: everything was fantastic. I went there becauseof my “job” (doesn’t feel lika a job really) as a confirmation leader so there was a bunch of young teenagers. They were all lovely and we almost became like a little family. So now I miss them so much, and I wish I could have stayed longer. When I came home Sweden felt cold in a way. Not just the weather, but also everything sorrounding. Two of my best friends are long-term abroad and my boyfriend is in Finland… It sucks honestly! I will explain a bit more later today what I were doing in Italy and more about Assisi (the town where I went).

Have a nice day people!

Some pics from graduation

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Sorry for not updating since Saturday, the reason for that basically was that I really didn’t feel like sitting in front of  a computer that much. Instead I have been visiting friends’ students’ receptions and celebrate my own graduation. But the day was awesome. Really awesome! However, I won’t be able to update at all in a week as I’m going to Italy tomorrow! Don’t think I’ll find a computer there and I don’t have any cute mini laptop :/.

Anyway, here’s some pictures from my graduation:

thomassabo

I love presents haha… Yesterday I got five charms to my Thomas Sabo-bracelet so it’s a bit fuller now. :) Don’t have time to write anything more right now, my boyfriend’s brother wants some privacy (the computer is situated in his room). Anyway, I’m going out to town for some shopping now, have a nice (shopping) day!

Quick update

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

Don’t really have time to write in my blog  right now as the guests soon are coming to my reception, but have to give an update. It really feels unreal that I have graduated! The day was good and memorable even though the weather wasn’t the best. It rained parts of the day, but that couldn’t destroy the joy and excitement that we had. I’ll give a more specific explanation about the day later tonight, but could give a brief draft about the graduation day. There was no mutual class champagne breakfast so the first thing that we did was taking a class picture, later we gathered in our class room with our mentor, then some of us went to Kronobergsparken and drank champagne and then all three years sat in the assembly hall with our principals and a music teacher. We sang typical graduation songs (‘Studentsången’ of course) and then we ran out! After that we ran the open-sided wagon (in the rain) across town. Promise to upload pictures later.

I think my guest are coming in a minute or so, so I should probably go and socialize. Have a nice evening!

I’m graduating today!

Friday, June 5th, 2009

I’m so nervous, it’s still hard to believe that I’m graduating in a bit. 12 years are soon over. I’ll cry, laugh and scream! This will defintely be one of my greatest and best days of my life. It doesn’t seem to rain either and according to SMHI it won’t rain between 12-24. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. It will be cold but it’s worse to be soakin wet and freeze to death.

The weather today (keep your fingers crossed for that I won’t fell in the stairs when I’m running out :P ):

Graduation day tomorrow!

Friday, June 5th, 2009

Me with the student cap on

I just got back home from my friend’s graduation reception and tomorrow it’s my turn to graduate. It’s so sick that it’s less than 24 hours left before I run out from school. Sick. Dress – check. Cap – check. Shoes (*2) – check. Sleep – not check. Should really go to bed now and get some sleep so I have the strength to be up for so many hours. But oh god… It’s my turn tomorrow (to shine haha), can’t believe it. After that I’m not a student anymore.

Here’s my schedule tomorrow:

  • 9 am: Champagne breakfast in a park but I don’t have any information about this so…
  • 10 am: Class picture
  • 10.30 am ~ 12.00 pm: Hang in class room and the assembly hall.
  • 1 pm: TIME TO RUN OUT (there’s no good translation for this in English)!!!
  • 1.30 ~ 4 pm: Ride open-sided wagon
  • ~6 pm: Dinner with family
  • ~10 pm: Graduation party at my class mate’s house.

Busy, huh? I’m so glad that I have my reception at Saturday instead… Anyhow, must get some sleep now.

Good night!

Ferry get away

Monday, June 1st, 2009

My mind hasn’t settled at all with the fact that I don’t have anything left to do in school and actually can take it easy. When I was sunbathing this weekend I thought: “Isn’t there an essay that I need to finish?” But no more essays for now! Anyway, the weekend has been really nice. The dinner at Filippa’s was nice but the way home was not as nice… My friend and I waited for the bus for more than half a hour. To get home from Nacka is difficult sometimes, the first bus was to full so it didn’t stop, the secon just drove past and the third and final was late!

Have to go now. I’m going away with my class for a cruise so I won’t be able to update until tomorrow night. Ciao!
