Is it okay to have pets in a student’s apartment?

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

During the months of my relationship I’ve also fallen inlove with my boyfriend’s family dog Jekku. Jekku is a nova scotia duck tolling retriver and has a beautiful fox coloured fur, along with that and with his outstanding personality he has gotten a special place in my heart.

I convinced my boyfriend to grab Jekku and take him over to his apartment, as I’ve been missing histhe dog’s company since he moved away from home.  It’s pleasant to have a dog here, becomes a bit more cosier. As my boyfriend lives in the Gärdet area in Stockholm we have a walking distance to a large field, so I think we’ll take him for a walk there tomorrow. :) But… You should be able to have pets in a  students’ apartment, right?

But, now we’re going to watch Grey’s Anatomy, sleep tight :) .

Just dreaming a bit

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Sorry for no blog posts for a while! Must really become better at log into the computer :P . Anyway, I just came home after some hours at a bar with some beloved friends. One of them, Mikaela, moved to London in June but is here now on vacation – and it’s so fun that she’s here again! It wasn’t until now that I realized how much I have missed her, how empty it has been here in away. And I’m jealous at her! She gets to live in the cool town London, work as a bartender, meeting cool people and I’m stuck here, working and still living at home. I’m thinking of perhaps heading off to perhaps London in the spring for a couple of months. Meanwhile I’m already excited to go to uni next year!

Well well, enough with the dreams perhaps..? Have to get some sleep now!

Ferry get away

Monday, June 1st, 2009

My mind hasn’t settled at all with the fact that I don’t have anything left to do in school and actually can take it easy. When I was sunbathing this weekend I thought: “Isn’t there an essay that I need to finish?” But no more essays for now! Anyway, the weekend has been really nice. The dinner at Filippa’s was nice but the way home was not as nice… My friend and I waited for the bus for more than half a hour. To get home from Nacka is difficult sometimes, the first bus was to full so it didn’t stop, the secon just drove past and the third and final was late!

Have to go now. I’m going away with my class for a cruise so I won’t be able to update until tomorrow night. Ciao!

Before I run to school…

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Apparently I write like old people. See, you learn something new every day. Anyway, I just remembered that I promised to show pictures of when I was dressed like Marilyn Monroe. Here’s some. My boyfriend Joel was Marilyn’s second (or third?) husband Arthur Miller who was an actor if I remember correctly.

Summer is here?

Friday, April 24th, 2009

nice-weather      Photo: Hasse Holmberg/www.metro.se

No one could possibly have missed how nice the weather is today. It’s the end of April and it almost feels like summertime. Every year when it becomes warmer I say to myself  “This year I will STOP complaining on how warm it is!” But then you complain anyway, just like a typical Swede.

If you wonder why I’m sitting in front of a computer instead of being outside the simplest answer is that I really need to study. My religion essay is due May 6th – only 12 days left. I’ve actually been outside, a lot, to my defence. My class mate Andreas and I  mixed pleasure with business – we did our Natural Science lab outside. We did some exercises and compared how our blood pressures were affected. We ran our bikes and that was so nice. We went first from Rålambhovsparken to Preem by the Norrmälarstrand where we took an ice cream break. Sat in the sun and just enjoyed it. Thereafter we continued to Kungsträdgården, Vasastan  and then back to our school. We agreed on that Swedish students should spend more of their school time outside. Perhaps something that politicians should bare in mind?

"The ice dripped in the winter sun. It was the first day when the light had been intense enough to cause dripping in the sunlight. To hear it was an extraordinary wakeup call.
