Abba

Firstly I was going to blog about the 400 jobs going as SAS. I feel really bad about this. SAS have, for me, always been my favourite airline. It is true that I now fly with RyanAir as it’s cheaper and more convenient for me to fly straight to Skavsta but if I do fly into Arlanda I will always take SAS.

The service that SAS provide is excellent. I’ve flown many of the world’s airlines and companies such as Virgin, BA could learn a lot from SAS. The staff are polite, the check in is prompt and I have always found flying with them a real pleasure. I hope for one that this excellent airline does not go out of business.

The other side to this blog is something that I heard this morning; Abba had been inducted into the music hall of Fame in New York. For anyone in the UK Abba are possibly the most famous Sweden export of all time. Their music has spanned decades of enjoyment, countless Karaoke moments and of course a rather successful West End Show and movie.

Benny and Anni-Frid turned up to collect the award. Don’t get me wrong I am hardly Abba’s biggest fan but surely they all can attend an award ceremony together. Whilst of course there will always be the personal history between them Abba were more than just two men, they were a collective group of four people that provided some of the greatest hits of the 70’s.

I hope one day to see Abba back on stage. When you see bands that have lost certain members the fans know that there will never be an opportunity to see the original line up ever again, but when all four are alive there is always hope that they could put any differences behind them and get back together.

If this was the case with Abba then we really would be thanking them for the music.
