Långholmen FC or The Stripes as we are affectionately known are an English speaking international football club based in Stockholm. The club was founded in 2002 by some English speaking exiles who used to gather and kick a ball around on the gravel pitch at Långholmen. A football club was formed and has steadily grown from those early days of Swedish korpen football. The club has progressed through the lower leagues to their current division 4 status and now boasts seven teams, both male and female competing at various levels. The club is not only medium to watch a bit of football, especially for those who do not have a team to support in Sweden, but it is also a great social happening off the pitch. This season our first team play in Division 4 m in Stockholm and play our home games at Stora Essinge IP. We attract a growing band of supporters which includes families, friends and neutrals alike. The club is a firm believer in fair play and have received plaudits in recent seasons for our good spirit on and off the pitch. Check out our fabulous website www.langholmenfootball.com for details
