Långholmen keep up good run.

Långholmen players celebrate equaliser.

STUVSTA IF (0) 1

LÅNGHOLMEN FC (0) 3

Two strikes in the last ten minutes of the match made sure Långholmen maintain their hundred percent record. Again it was a win without impressing as they slugged out an even match with Stuvsta. Injury problems meant there was a debut for Guy Woodhead who joined the backline. Captain Robbie Graham moved up to play just behind Andy O’Sullivan who was back after a months absence. It was not the best of first halves at Stuvsta IP as midfield play dominated the game, after the first 45 a goaless draw looked very likely. It took all of 15 minutes for the first chance of the match to materialise, O’Sullivan just couldn’t get his foot on the end of a scrambled ball and Max Svanberg managed to clutch it with his left hand and into safety. Stuvsta created two chances in front of goal before the break , Bergquist was forced to make a fine save after a hard low shot form just outside the box.

Stuvsta made a determined start to the second half when some uncharacteristic bad defending let in Anders Persson who shot low and hard under substitute keeper Evan Barnes, the big American was just a bit too hesitant on coming off his line to break down the advancing Stuvsta man. Långholmen were missing the extra dimension of injured Colm Kenny’s bustling play, that was until a moment of brilliance was created by the away team. Graham played a neat ball to Björlund Bergström who raced down the wing before delivering a sublime ball to the foot of Andy O’Sullivan who with the deftest of touches stroked the ball past the keeper for the equaliser and sending the large away support into raptures. This was the spur that Långholmen needed and if Robbie Graham hadn’t missed an absolute sitter minutes later and O’Sullivan waste a great chance when through on the keeper the game would of been over with 20 minutes on the clock. The Stripes did take the lead however when Graham seemed to take an age before rolling the ball to young Björlund Bergström who shot powerfully under Svanberg. Chris Allen rounded things up with a very neat finish in the last minute of play. Stuvstas Michael Stenbock was red carded after a second bookable offence just before Mr Bennam blew for time up.

Another good victory for Långholmen whose victory train just keeps rolling on.

Sounds like a good win. But I need some context and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Where are you in the league? Can’t you stick a league table here?

    Who’s the next game against?

And it would be great if you had a picture or two to stick up here.

I have every intention of adopting Långholmen as my team in Sweden…
