Hi.

Can we apply for work permit if we've got offered a part time job position? I mean, must it be a full time job in order to qualify for a work permit?

Thanks.

In short, no =) The answer to this very question is addressed on Migrationsverket's website:

the permit is more linked to the salary than the number of hours you work

if you job pays 13000 or more per month then you are fine, regardless of the number of hours you work

axiom is correct, it is based upon monthly pay, not hours. The condition is that even if you multiple job offers of work, at least 1 of those must pay 13.000:- minimum (cannot total up all jobs).

Also, the employer must get a statement from the Union they have agreement with, if they do not have a Union agreement, they must get a statement from a Union that DOES represent employees in the country in that line of work.

Employer also has to prove that the vacancy has been advertised for a minimum of 10 days so that it was open for EU nationals to apply for first.

...and a few other things You can find from Migrationsverket.

totally possible, and then you do not pay any fees since you are on a work permit and not a study permit

Just for Your info, since January this year they have introduced additional checks for certain job categories for employers wanting to employe non-EU people, due to much abuse of the system in past years.

this is in additional to the normal requirements.
