Hi,
How viable is it to commute between Stockholm and Malmo on a daily basis by plane? Do you know anyone who does/has done so? I know that it'll take a while in terms of transit time and the cost wouldn't be ideal, but considering how many flights there are back and forth every day from what I read, it seems like there would be at least some people doing this kind of thing. Are there? Just looking for experiences/thoughts/etc. Thanks! |

Viable only if you are the pilot or other crew member.

Thanks, why is this? Do you mean just in terms of costs?

that does sound a bit much i guess ... considering all the waiting times in airports, etc plus commuting to airports
i would personally avoid it just for the security checks, ending up with no belts, trousers falling down, shoes in hand, etc waay too much my guess is that its doable since the actual flight is only 1hr and many people commute over an hour to work everyday but it just sounds so hectic |

Definitely not unheard of. I have friends of friends who do it. I think Malmö Aviation from Sturup is the common choice, since you end up at Bromma and won't have to do the long roundtrip commute from/to Arlanda on the Stockholm side. Sturup is less accessible from central Malmö than Kastrup/Copenhagen Airport, though.

Thanks, guys. I think at this stage the cost is the main factor. I wonder if some airlines have a commuter rate or something of the sort..will have to look into it. Definitely makes me feel better to know there are people who actually do it.

yeh Bromma seems like the better alternative, but can be tricky to get to since there are no tunnelbanna or trains at the station, there are public buses (i think you can then change to tunnelbanan to tcentralen) as well as flygbussarna
