Hey guys,
I'm about to commence renovations on my apartment and would like to check out second hand building depots. Do these even exist in Sweden? A big yard full of sinks, baths, doors, windows etc. Any help on these would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! |

Search for "begagnad byggmaterial" . I think most of these places will have antique or higher value items only, but you may be able to find some junk yards too, who knows. ~~~PDX~~~ |

If all else fails, you can always check blocket.se
I picked up two very good windows and frames that way (as well as a number of other items) although you need to be careful sometimes as some sellers want so much for their stuff that you might be better off buying it new |

If I were looking for cheap renovation materials, I would go to the Lidingö dump on Stockbyvägen during working hours on weekdays.
You just cannot believe the stuff that is getting disposed of. Just drop some trash off, and pick up what you find useful. One could build a whole house with the stuff builders are dropping off. |

I know this is not helpful to the OP...But!
My house was built in 1890...I removed two walls years ago and was surprised to find that used lumber was in them...1890! Glad to see it, nothing wrong with thrift and recycling. I hoard odd lengths of lumber "in case" I need a small piece...beats going to the lumber yard and having a piece cut from an 8 footer. win, win for trees and us. |
