In Sweden, one must welcome the burglars into your home. It's the law.

Hello. does any of you know if it exist a website where i can order alarms and others things to prevent of bugglars . thank you. Take your pick. Also use some common sense like not announcing to all and sundry on Facebook or Twitter that you are so looking forward to your 3 week trip to Ko Samui or wherever. |

Hello. does any of you know if it exist a website where i can order alarms and others things to prevent of bugglars . thank you. buggery isn't illegal though? But it can be unwanted. Ignore Sven, he'll want to mount an M60 on your chimney and some claymores around your garden. Best solution, learn to know your neighbours, invest in decent door and window locks, etc. then worry about an alarm. Unless you link an alarm to a security company, most get ignored anyway be passing folk and neighbours. If you make friends with those around you, peoples' eyes and ears are the best initial solution. Unless you've got a big stash of gold or art etc. in which case just google some companies. |

we like fairly remotely even by Swedish standards, if I think a car or van is suspect (pikey), I always take the dog out and make sure we clock them and they clock me.

QUOTE In Sweden, one must welcome the burglars into your home. It's the law. Yes, you're supposed to leave some milk and cookies out. Watch out though if the milk is sour and they get a stomach ache they can sue you. |

Well, for the OP, there isn't much use of a burglary alarm unless its connected to somewhere. And then it should be working as in not going "silly" and going off unnecessarily and annoying your neighbours if theres nobody around shutting it. So while you can buy a box and rig up simple magnetic switches, getting a professionally installed system will then cost you. nevermind doing an agreement with 4GS or whomever who then bill for whatevers in the agreement.
