the lightbulb changer is on holiday until mid-August. Priceless. But you forgot, back from vacation in mid-August it is time to start planning the kickoff conference to be held in Berlin in September. Lightbulb-changing will be on the agenda. It is time for all of the idiots that come here to 'Swede-bash' due to their own inadequacies to give it a rest! how many sourpusses does it take to demonstrate their own inadequacies in a sense of humor? |

Anyone seen any Swedish art house movies?
I can't remember seeing lightbulbs in many of those films, so it must be a fairly new invention over here. That may help explain the confusion over here. |

This jokes assumes that the Swede realises the bulb can indeed be changed, which may require an entirely new set of meetings, with the end result being that no one has the balls to actually admit the bulb can be changed, nor the skills to do it. Of course then there is the equality issue that will likely take priority, since it remains uncertain if it would be unfair to criticize any given bulb for being non-functional, since we would not want to put on a pedestal the functioning bulb for fear we may realise a) the functioning bulb is the bulb we want and

Don't forget that the Swede actually putting in the lightbulb will probably a take year worth of tax-payer sponsored paternity leave before doing any work. Either that, or he'll take the year off shortly after screwing it in.

When the USA cut back on atomic research, weapons, energy and cut out the Atomic Energy Commission, etc...The wanted to retain the engineers and scientists for as long as they could in case those skills became vital to the countries defense.
They created "make work" projects...one of which was a procedure for installing, changing fluorescent light fixtures/bulbs in an atomic facility...I know you think I'm crazy, but all those scientists and engineers were asked to write procedures for this...just to give them something to do...there may have been other projects but this one matches our current postings...yes it's true!!! However, I do not know how many were required for the job, but...I'm guessing that the Maintenance Department Managers had some input too...if you get my drift |

Are all old style bulbs outlawed in Sweden?
I thought it was a phase out with the higher watt bulbs being withdrawn later? (according to the EU directive)? |
