Purchasing power will be a small fraction of a Silicon Valley engineer shopping at Walmart smile.gif

But then, averages are just averages...

I thought maybe this would be a good thread to list different types of IT professionals and see what each type can possibly earn.

I, myself, am a Networking Engineer working on finishing the Cisco certification towards CCNP. I have been in the IT field for over 20 years. In the past I wore many hats at the same time covering everything from desktop PCs to Servers and networking. Where I currently work it is more specialized. We have to since we are too big. I work on everything network related. We are using Cisco devices. Everything from 2960s (access layer) 4500, 6500 series switches up to Nexus 7000s (Data Center).

I would like to continue working in the networking field an want know to what the outlook is like in Sweden. Is there hope for someone like me who wants to try and work overseas for awhile if not indefinitely?

Probably! Spotify are on a massive hiring spree right now, and Klarna are always looking for good people...
