QUOTE Ethnic discrimination huge problem Ethnic discrimination is a major problem in the labor market, according to the Equality Ombudsman (DO). The past three years, the DO received 2000 complaints in total. More than 750 of them, or 38 percent, were ethnic discrimination. That's more than any other category. Nevertheless, it is very difficult to get employers convicted of ethnic discrimination than any other type of discrimination, according to a study of the lawyers Susanne Fransson and Eberhard Stüber. Missleading title in the original article in SVD. There were 750 complaints, it hasn`t been proven that they were actual cases of discrimination. Discrimination is a big problem but let`s discuss it openly and honestly. There was an article in the Local not long ago where the DO found that many of the complaints weren`t discrimination at all.

It´s very easy when an immigrant does not get a job or something else. They just scream racist and everybody jumps.

I have greater faith in terms of quoting an article from SVD, than I do the Local. |

Missleading title in the original article in SVD. There were 750 complaints, it hasn`t been proven that they were actual cases of discrimination. Exactly ... it's like when other countries claim there is more rape commited in Sweden than anywhere else, when in fact it is that one can only show that there are more cases reported in Sweden than anywhere else (Sweden fosters an environment that theoretically protects women and encourages their reporting). But we see very low incidents of Men being raped, is that because it doesn't happen, ot because we Men are ...well, who would dare report it! If everytime someone got stopped for their ID check, and was obviously not English, I could claim descrimination against Me, since I don't get asked!... That would boost their figures even further It's about time we evened the playing field, so to speak |

One article in the Local also showed that very few people get convicted of discrimination by the DO. It's nothing but a facade. |

A HUGE problem:?
2000 complaints in three years? 667 per year! 56 per month! 14 per week! The mind boggles...with a work load like that nobody gets "Fika" until this crises is ended. Sooo it's around a nine million people population and it's only 14 complaints a week? We need more people on the job! Overtime call...it's become mandatory now...forget vacation...no days off either...you must sleep at your desk! |

Most of it goes unreported, because people know the score: DO are a waste of time.

Come to think of it, maybe we should encourage people to report more (to the trolls out there, I'm not suggesting to falsify reports), so next time the likes of the posters above wont even have good numbers to defend with.
