Where can I Find the Water cutoff valve?

Hello all
I am installing a dish washer in My apartment but for the life of me i cant Find the Water cut off valve! Does anyone have any idea of the usual place to Find it in apartments here in Sweden ? I found a little 5 inch square hatch in the bathroom but there was no valves in there to turn off the Water just Water mains pipes!
All help Would be great thanks

Mine was sticking out of the wall in my laundry. My best advice is to go and ask a neighbour.

Does your tap have a small dial at the bottom- this turns off the water for the dishwasher so you can install - uninstall etc

The cut off valve at my place is a small lever at the base of the mixer tap over the kitchen sink.

If you haven't got one of those then ask a neighbour as it's bound to be in the same place, or ask fastighetssjötaren if you have one of those on site.
