In The Hypnotist (Lars Kepler), the term "city car" is used. Would this be a taxi?
There is also a reference to meeting after tea time. What time would that be? Finally, I have read several books by Swedish authors (and have watched a few movies and TV shows). All of them have been rather dark, violent and perhaps gruesome. I have never been to Sweden nor spent any significant time with a Swed. Can I draw from these works of fiction any accurate inferences about Swedish people, culture or the Swedish psyche. Many thanks, Joe |

No, none, what you can draw from these works of fiction is what sells, what people like to read about in crime fiction. It has nothing to do with reality. When I watch Midsomer Murders, for example, I don´t expect that to tell me anything how the British people are in general. |
