I switched from one job to another this year. My old work permit still has about 1+ year on it. It mentions my previous occupation and employer. I applied for work permit before I started working at my new job.
I have previously mentioned that migration board did clarify this in an email to me QUOTE The old UT-card can be used as long as the old permit is not cancelled. Usually the old permit cancels when the new permit approves. I would like to know of any first hand experience. How was the immigration process when you landed back in Sweden or when you boarded towards Sweden. |

I think that you will be OK if the old one is still valid
The main problem is where the old one is expired and the new one has not been issued - the MV warn that you are not guaranteed entry back into Sweden |

Nothing to be concerned over
You are even allowed to start working in the new job whilst they process the change of work permit. The old permit is valid until it either expires or is cancelled by MV. And as they have pointed out to You, that will only happen once they process the application, either when the new permit is issued, or indeed though probably not, if they reject the application. |
