(edit title) Art Club or similar - Uppsala Looking for a social hobby! Options

I'm looking for a social hobby - I'm a little shy and would like to meet more people outside work.

I quite enjoy sketching, but haven't really done much since I've been here, thought an art club might be a good way to kick myself into action.

So does anyone know of anything like this (or if not, want to start one with me)?

Seriously, nothing?

No art, sculpture, knitting, writing or some such groups around?

The student Nations have nothing I'd find interesting (even the photography clubs seem to be self-loving idiots with an overly-developed addiction to photoshop effects) and I'm struggling to keep entertained or meet friends.

Have you not tried to seek out a local ABF in your area ? There's one I walk past every day and they are always holding classes or courses. Everything from book circles, conversational language groups, wood turning, through to (and I kick myself for missing out on this gem) dog clothes making.

Sadly there's no dog clothes making on offer, and the only one they offer I would be interested in clashes with my language classes

I've tried a sports club, theatre groups, the gym, internet dating and the meetup group... I'm at a loss!
