Another PUT Eligibility Question

Can I apply for a PUT or wait until next WP renew?

Fellow local readers,

I came to Sweden on Dec 2008 on WP and I have worked for the same employer till Mar 2012 (with WP extensions twice). From Mar 2012, I have switched my employer and I got my WP renewed till Mar 2014 and got my residence permit issued along with my WP.Now I got a new job offer again which I am planning to take it from Jan 2013.

Now my questions is, I am completing 4 years of continuous stay in Sweden on WP by Dec 2012.As I understand 48 months of stay in Sweden is a eligible criteria to apply for PUT, am I eligible to apply for PUT with Migration board? I know there is no separate application form for PUT, thanks to information from theLocal.se posts. Do I have to wait for my next WP renewal to request for PUT or can I contact migration board after Dec 2012 and request them for PUT in a letter?

Any inputs are appreciated and thank you for taking your time to answer my question.

You must wait for the next UT which comes after the 4 year mark. Good luck!
