While the kronor has been dropping to a 5 month low against the euro, it seems a far cry from the claims that Sweden was well protected from the troubles in Europe as reported a few months ago.
Hopefully this may help exports from Sweden to rise. However given the current markets, maybe tourism will be a better option. All we need to do now is start making Sweden a more desirable destination. Anyone have any sunshine they would be willing to sell? http://www.swedishwire.com/economy/15656-s...five-months-low |

a bit more tolerance and live and let live would not go amiss on this forum or in Sweden generally.

Tourism Sweden, for 2011:
Total consumption 264 billion SEK (+76% since 2000) Foreign consumption 98.8 billion SEK (+143% since 2000) VAT from foreign consumption 14.1 billion SEK (+156% since 2000) Domestic tourists 165 billion SEK (+51% since 2000) Business travellers consumption 46.3 billion SEK (+22% since 2000) Added value 86.5 billion SEK (+67% since 2000) 16.7 million foreign visits to Sweden 2011 All we need to do now is start making Sweden a more desirable destination. It appears that Sweden's tourism doesn't do too badly and has increased a reasonable amount over the last decade or so, which indicates that there are millions of people that already believe Sweden is a desirable destination. Unfortunately when you say we need to do the we does not really include you, does it! |
