Well...July is here and I'm bored of going to the same haunts with the children. So i would like to know what is there to do in Stockholm that other parents can recommend ie. Recommend any good outdoor bathing areas..

Thanks in advance!

In Stockholm, if you're looking for outdoors bathing, you have: Fredhäll, sickla strand, blockhusudden, tanto, brunnsviksbadet. Other outdoor bathing areas are: Ekhagens strandbad, farsta strandbad, hökarängsbadet, långsjöbadet etc. etc.

The only places I've been to myself that I consider good are Gladökvarns strandbad, Nyboviksbadet and sundbygårds strandbad.

try Fågelöudde in the north west corner of Lindingö, out of the city so the water is much cleaner

You can take them to Skansen or for a picnic in Djurgården

If it rains my LOs used to enjoy Junibacken (based on the Astrid Lindgren books such as Pippi Longstocking, Emil. Karlsson on the roof etc) - you start with a "book tour" on a little train that starting "flying" through scenes from the books there is a playroom with street theatre and cafe etc

Also my kids used to love the playroom at the Nordiska Museum - where you dress up and play in different places from 19th century Sweden - a farmhouse, a shop, a hand operated ferry etc

Actually, Puffin, that sounds pretty good. I might book for myself.
