Apartment swapping

How does it actually work?

Hi!

As I have posted in another thread, I just found out my a-kassa payments are 40% of that they were before my last job so I am being forced to downsize my apartment and put stuff into storage. I simply have no choice.

I have a 1st hand contract and I would like to swap my apartment for a smaller on with someone else who has a 1st hand contract. Because I am unemployed I would be unable to get a 1st hand contract as I have no employer so my question is this. If I swap apartments with someone will I still have to go through the vetting process?

I am with Järfällahus so what would happen if I swapped with another Järfällahus person? Is it the same if I swap with someone from, for example, Stockholmshem?

I do love it when people like the social say you have to change apartment... do they know what is going on in the real world?

Thanks for any help!

Usually if you have a first hand contract it is fairly straight forward to swap - there is a section on Järfälla Hus website

Thanks for the info on Järfällahus.

However, does anyone know if when swapping 2 aparments with different companies if they go through the same kind of checks as if a new tennant was taking over an apartment?

Thanks

Yes, in principle the checks would be same if you do an apartement swap. If your income is considered too low it might be possible to get one or two persons to "gå i borgen" (sign a personal guarantee) for you.
