Part of my holidays in Europe is in Stockholm. First I will be in Amsterdam, then Berlin and finally 5 days in Stockholm on the 5th of September. I am an Asian male 25 years old originally from Manila but living in Dubai and wanting to see a bit of the capital of Sweden and hopefully meet with people there. I have read good reviews about the city although not much about the culture and the Swedish people except Roxette and The Cardigans, I love them. I am planning to do a lot of sightseeing and other typical tourist would do like museums and a lots of pictures biggrin.gif. This is going to be my first time not only in Stockholm but in Europe so I wanted to know if going around the city alone is not weird specially in restaurants or in clubs at night. Will they let me in or is it weird if let say I come in and mind my drink and watch the people inside or it would be perceived weird. Just curious and excited.

How much would be the temperature in September? Do I have to bring like a thick coat and winter boots? Stupid question I guess but I am coming from the middle east where it is summer the whole year round.

Your respond will be greatly appreciated smile.gif

You could read about some tips in this thread;

Doing this solo isn`t considerd weird, people don`t really care. Getting in to the clubs shouldn`t be a problem, just que like everyone else. In september you don`t need a winter coat or winterboots, perhaps a raincoat but otherwise it should still be somewhat good weather.

curguy24. i cant answer a lot of your questions to be honest. I was in Stockholm in April for 4 days as my first time there and i did eat at restaurants though i didnt go to clubs. Too old 39 haha!! anyway what I will say is you will have a fabulous time. I cannot say a bad word about Stockholm and more particularly about the citizens. The Swedes are beautiful, friendly people and were so friendly I was genuinely blown away by how friendly and helpful they were. Enjoy your trip, Im going back in November I can't wait!!!
