I like what my Swedish friend makes when she invites me for brunch. We have toast with slices of cheese, cucumber and tomatoes, and sliced hard boiled egg on top of knäckebröd with salt and pepper, some orange juice and some hot tea with milk and honey, yum!

Whatever you eat remember to make it more Swedish you must drench it in some sort of gravy, sauce, or cream, lingon berries, or ketchup smile.gif Other wise the Swedes around you will think you are eating it wrong tongue.gif

It takes some time but your taste buds do adjust to the new food. Now I find myself craving Swedish food. The nice thing is that many restaurants have lunch specials which are much cheaper and a great way to try different foods and different places.

And the lettuce must always be iceberg.

Kalles Kaviar

But let's not forget the infinite variety of warm Swedish food : white fish with white sauce or brown meat with brown sauce.
