Hi Everyone,
I work for a Software Company here and usually visit stockholm once every 3 months. This time around i was wondering if i could pick the Factory unlocked Iphone 5. I have One week remaining in my stay and i was hoping if anybody can guide me. My Question is. Can I buy a factory Iphone 5 within this week somewhere from stockholm ? I know there is an Apple store in Taby Centrum and i can see the online ordering page on the apple store website, But that takes 3-4 weeks and i dont have that much time. So can i go there in person and buy from there with cash OR is there some other store in stockholm from where i can buy. Kindly guide me. |

It's likely that you will have to pay way over the odds to buy a iPhone ie. blocket...do a search at http://www.prisjakt.nu. There was one, but at 9,535sek I think. Not too sure if it was unlocked. You could see if you can get one from Telia, Telenor etc and then unlock them through the usual methods...which are not supported by Apple of course.
The phone was only released yesterday, so demand is high...so pay over the odds or leave without. In terms of Samsung vs Apple....who gives a flying f@@k! You either prefer Apple or Samsung...whatever works for you. Some people prefer iPhone because of the eco system Apple have built around it to libk into iCloud, iPad, Macs, apps etc. Some people prefer Samsung for a bigger screen, less restriction in what apps you can use...cheaper and more. One size does not fit all. Apple produce a great product and changed the market for the better in 2007 where the likes of Nokia fell asleep like many other manufacturers. Samsund would not be where they are without Apple changing the mobile phone market. Personally, I like the iPhone. I have had my 3GS for 3 years!!! I can still upgrade it to IOS6, but it's starting to slow down, but still works very well. Now time to upgrade...i expect Apple to update IOS in its next incarnation as its interface has not changed much...so enjoy whatever phone ticks your boxes. |

Give Taby a call....you never know. Regarding the delivery time, I know people who placed an iPhone order as soon as the online store allowed orders and got the standard 3-4 weeks delivery estimate....and that was the same for later orders and currently the same today. So I presume it will be quicker at least for the first day orders.
Someone will need to sign for the delivery....not too sure if it has to be you...but if you have to collect it from a local pickup ie. ICA etc...then you normally need to show ID for the person who is the recipient, especially if it's a recorded delivery. In the UK, the deliver to your delivery address and anyone can sign for it. |
