Hi Forum,

Probably, Estonia (Estland) is one of the most visited destinations for the vast majority of people who live in Sweden.

So, Where do you like to go in Tallinn? What are your favorite places that you have seen there? Which places do you recommend me to visit over there?

Thank you guys !

I've only spent about 8 hours in Tallinn. But that was long enough to take a good wander around the old town. There's quite a lot to see there and some great little bars and shops. Outside of the old town, Tallinn is no great architectural wonder. Unless you're interested in the cheap alcohol outlets, and the even cheaper brothels.

Depending on the amount of time available, you would do one of:

-In one day Tallinn by foot, but do take a taxi to the newly opened TV tower to get a panoramic view of the city. If you jave another day, visit Helsingfors too (or in reverse order as flights to HEL are more convenient).

-If you have many days and soviet nostalgia is your thing, rent a car and drive around. It's a tiny country after all..

Oh, and, due to the exchange rate, everything there is a bargain, especially in less touristy places.

Everything depents on your interests, here my preferences for a classy visit to Estonia:

Restaurants in Tallinn:
Moon
Bocca
Olde Hansa
Matilda Cafe

Shopping in Tallinn:
Kristiine Center
Viru Center

Sightseeing:
Sea museum Tallinn
Tallinn Old Town
Rocca al Mare open air museum
Ahaa center Tartu
Haapsalu old town and seaside

When in Old Town, keep away from shops and dining places around the main square. They are mediocre and expensive.

Good luck in Tallinn!
