I was wondering if buying a small business in Stockholm will help me stay in Sweden easier than trying to get a job. I am currently living in Mexico City and wish to move to Sweden as soon as posible.I have researched it for 4 years now and its where I want togo next. Please advise as what is the easiest way to be able to stay in Sweden. Money is not a problem.I am a dual citizen of USA and Mexico
Thanks. Your imput is greatly apresiated. |

Here are some problems. Stockholm is the seventh most expensive city in the world. Any viable established business will probably cost several million Swedish kroner. The waiting time for a self-employed visa is running about one year. You will not be allowed in Sweden before the decision is made. In addition to having a detailed business plan and bank references and related experience you must have working capitol for the business plus enough money in the bank to live on for the first two years. Best of luck.

Any viable established business will probably cost several million Swedish kroner. Oh come on, this is peanuts, Frankie stated that money is not an issue. You will not be allowed in Sweden before the decision is made. This is simply not true - he can come on a tourist visa and stay at the Grand Hotel for three months. However, I am not sure if the four years of contemplation have been enough - there may be more ahead: http://www.jailbase.com/en/arrested/az-mcs...-rangel-p881520 ~~~PDX~~~ |

Here are some problems. Stockholm is the seventh most expensive city in the world. Nope. We dropped to 8th position as of the other weeks report! OP, owning a business does not mean that You can run it!... To be given a permit there are a lot of criterior including producing a business plan, show that you have run a business before, have experience in the area the business is related to, the plan needs to show how the business will reach a reasonable level of profitability within 2 years, You need your own resources/funds not only for investment in the business, but also to live off for 2 years minimum (no matter if the business makes money or not) ... they judge the permit based upon the viability of the business, not just because it is a business owned by someone. If you have the funds, experience etc... then go for it |
