Hello everyone
I am a lawyer living in London and I LOVE Sweden, I've bought a holiday home here already but my partner feels that we should start adding several luxuries instead of hoarding cash in my bank account. So we have decided with the help of our friends to build an extension downwards to incorporate a swimming pool, another much needed bathroom, a sauna and an indoor tennis court. Would this be possible to do this, how much would it cost and would I be able to get planning permission for it? Also has this sort of development ever been done in Sweden and been on local media? Thank you in advance |

I knew someone here in Dalarna who built a basement extension to add a gym, sauna, swimmingpool and guest suite to his home - it was a freehold villa
You would need to employ an architect and speak to the planning department - much will depend on location and geology etc |

Are you seriously asking for and estimate of what such a project would cost on an expat internet forum ? You must be bored and trolling the night away |

Not knowing swedish laws very well does not make me a troll nor does it show lawyers to be "not smart"

You may find one who would charge an hourly rate of around 500 SEK.

Not knowing swedish laws very well does not make me a troll nor does it show lawyers to be "not smart" sorry mate but to think anyone would have a clue on this forum how much such a project would cost is just a "how long is apiece of string" question. I mean if this was a quantity surveyors forum you might stand more of a a chance No hard feelings and I hope you find an architect as you'll need one to set you straight. |
