Nice video but I have to say as an animal lover myself, Dolphins do not taste half bad.
Seems like the people might have been charitable and thought to lug the nourishing bounty to trucks in the parking lots and feeding some of the poverty stricken areas of Rio de Janeiro. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. When life suddenly puts a whole bunch of fresh hefty tasty sea critters right next to your beach blanket you start lighting the charcoal. Some people just do not think! |

I go the other way than Entry on this.
I think that most people on a nice, sandy beach when dolphins wash up on the shore would have done the same thing. I certainly would have. Of course, it's another thing when whales wash up, weighing several tons, and along a more rocky shore. There are bound to be victims then, and plenty for a charcoal cookout at the end of the day. It's the same way with very small fish as opposed to stripped bass, say. only their extras can still be tossed back. |

I suspect impressing the bikini clad chicks was the main motivation behind this...!!
I'm sure the brave hero's got their rewards later for saving the cute dolphins.. Anyway, for whatever reason, still nice to see flipper and his friends safely back in the water. |
