I am searching for a parcel service for my internet shop within Sweden, we are sending packages of 10-30 kg to customers all around Sweden and now I want to do it locally, to save on freight costs, anyone know good services besides Posten MyPack which is a bit expencive as I think.

Hej, I am just starting an internet based retailer at the moment. I found Bring (Owned by the Norwegian Post Office and working with DHL) to be very helpful in working out all kinds of shipping and logistics. Although my goods are significantly lighter I am working with a system that does a 30kg max limit so that should work for you. My contact there was Christoffer Noaksson who was incredibly helpful, and was working with me in English which is a bonus. I would definately recommend contacting them and seeing what they can do for you as they seem very focused on small business and start ups which makes a change from the other big players.
let me know if you need any help contacting them, Jules. |

This one is also popular, but I don't know if it's door-to-door: http://www.bussgods.se/

The Ehandel forum is a good source of info for e-tailers in Sweden.
One possibility is to get a membership with Fortus which costs 3000kr. per year and you get hugely reduced rates using their customer number with DHL. You will need to call them to get the current tariffs. Also take a look at the Fraktjakt comparison site for other prices. |

Have you looked at schneker? Its really inexpensive (for sweden), but its not door to door, will deliver to schenker locations (which are apparently as abundant if not more as posten ones)

I specifically try not to order anything that I know is delivered by schenker.

Yes, both DHL and Schenker suck in Sweden. Whenever I order something from abroad I just go with the regular post service, since it is almost as fast and less screw-ups (and in the case of e.g. Amazon it is also free).

Home delivery is just likely to annoy people that aren't at home when delivery is attempted. Never had a problem picking up Schenker packets myself. |
