911 Dispatcher Tells Woman About To Be Sexually Assaulted There Are No Cops To Help Her Due To Budget Cuts

"The woman told the dispatcher that Bellah previously attacked her and left her hospitalized a few weeks prior to the latest incident. The dispatcher stayed on the phone with the woman for more than 10 minutes before the sexual assault took place...Police say Bellah choked the woman and sexually assaulted her. He was arrested by Oregon State Police following the incident...Bellah pleaded guilty to kidnapping, sex abuse and assault.

“There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t have another victim,” Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilberson told Oregon Public Radio.

The sheriff’s department even put out a press release warning domestic violence victims to “consider relocating to an area with adequate law enforcement services.”

We did. There are now over 45 Pink Pistols chapters nationwide, and more are starting up every day. We are dedicated to the legal, safe, and responsible use of firearms for self-defense of the sexual-minority community. We no longer believe it is the right of those who hate and fear gay, lesbian, bi, trans, or polyamorous persons to use us as targets for their rage. Self-defense is our RIGHT.

The Pink Pistols get together at least once a month at local firing ranges to practice shooting, and to acquaint people new to firearms with them. We will help you select a firearm, acquire a permit, and receive proper training in its safe and legal use for self-defense. In Illinois, the only state who does not allow concealed carry (and ironically, the home to Chicago BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!) the legislature is attempting to pass legislation to meet the mandate handed down by the courts saying (basically) that Illinois does not have the right to disallow concealed carry of weapons. Of course, and if past performance is any indication, the only thing we will be allowed to carry will be pink squirt guns.

Take that bad guy. Swish, swish.
