So I returned back(In India with the same profile I am getting tons of emails about jobs so I think there is nothing wrong with the profile) ,

So My question is , Is there any specific approach/Process in which I should search the job here, can some one please give me some good advice, consultant contact information.

One of the reasons could be it would depend on if you are sending your profile in swedish to swedish employers. I don't know if you are but if you're not you *might* get more replies if you do

While knowing Swedish may not be a priority for your job, a swedish employer may pick someone who can speak the language over you. If you show you can write/read/understand swedish than you might stand out more than someone who doesn't.

There are plenty of jobs available, so that should not be an issue. If I was you, I would contact directly (by phone or in person) the Indian outsourcing companies that place people in Sweden. There are many Indian programmers working in this country and the Indian outsourcers would have clients ready to accept people without swedish language skills.

It's true, it's not. Nevertheless, in interviews, if I said I spoke Swedish and demonstrated any skill (we exchanged a few sentences) they were instantly more enthusiastic about me. I think they see Swedish as important for things not directly related to your job function (the talk around the water cooler, if you will). My entire experience with the Swedish IT market let me to believe that playing nice with others is a major concern to Swedish companies.

Swedish companies need programmers because swedish local people are not good and not interested in IT and Science. They just hire people from other countries to run their businesses. Instead just send them CVs, call them and tell that you are serious.

Wipro, Tata, Infosys... surely you know most of them? With local Swedish companies there is little chance for you until you pick up the language.

Do you have a work permit for Sweden ?
Are you currently in Sweden and if so are you using a Swedish address on your CV.
A CV in English ought to be fine, a covering letter in Swedish can be helpful - but be honest about your language skills - most people from the sub-continent I have met already speak 3 languages so I think that Swedish employers can understand that adding a minor european language for a 2 year stay is not so vital.
To contact the indian IT giants which have outsourcing contracts here (TCS, Wipro, IBM etc) most surely be a good idea.

good luck

I wish you would tell that to the droves of swedish students who study IT in the universities. Sweden is in the top three when it comes to investing, innovating and competeing in IT around the world. It`s also second in the world regarding research and development funds per GDP. Sweden also has one of the highest numbers of reaserch papers published per students. To say that Sweden or Swedes aren`t interested/good in IT and science isn`t true. It may be your opinion but it`s in no way, shape or form the truth.

See the problem I am facing is .. I am not working in any of those outsourcing companies, like Wipro, infosys, etc.. so they will prefer to send there ppl who already are working on the assignments to Sweden. so even if I directly contact them that will not help much.. So basically I am searching for some consulting companies who can place me there.

I agree. You get low quality IT/programming/software engineer candidates everywhere, and they far outnumber the good ones. Just because this also happens in Sweden does not make it a Swedish Thing.

I have taught IT (programming, databases, theory, etc) at a Swedish University, both to Swedish and International Students, and this could not be any further from the truth.

Why didn't you stay a few extra months and learn the language first, SFI is free for you as long as you have a residence permit. Then the job market opens up a little more.

The reality is that, since Swedes generally speak very good English with most young people almost fluent, you are just adding your tech skills and experience to the company.

While Swedish might not be a requirement to do your job, you would be working in an environment where the working language is quite likely Swedish, meetings are held in Swedish, emails are sent round in Swedish and clients can, in many cases prefer to speak Swedish.

It is therefore logical that most employers would want to consider ***some*** level of Swedish in order to keep everyone comfortable. Remember that this is not discriminatory.

I would have stayed a few months and learn a little of the language and try again.
