I don't remember but just go to the reception person and say you need clearance to work with kids, they should speak English. If you have trouble getting understood just say something like "jobba med barn", I'm sure one of the much better Swedish speakers here can tell you what to say på svenska.

Hey there, my name is Sahar,

I'm a 24 year old master's student studying at KTH university as an urban planner and I'm looking to pick up some extra babysitting during the Weekends and some evenings to help out parents in different occasions. I have had a wonderful experience with kids earlier, as an art teacher in kindergarten. I have worked with children of all ages for many years. I have always enjoyed forming a personal bond with the children, getting to know their personalities and likes/dislikes. I love to do activities that engage them. I have a great chance to help kids develop their interests, as well as discover new ones. I also love having the chance to help younger children develop and strengthen their reading skills. These are opportunities that I cherish.
If anyone is interested please do not hesitate to contact me at Sahar.hadipoor@gmail.com Thanks

QUOTE (Puffin @ 12.Oct.2010, 10:41 AM) *
It's a pretty complicated issue for both side - so make sure that you do your homework- many nannies get ripped off- employers kan get into all sorts of tax problemsFor na ... (show full quote)

I agree with most of the things. A professional company usually has professional babysitters, better availability and papers to indicate that their staff don't have criminal records. It can save you the time and hassle for looking for new babysitters. Plus if you think it's worth it, you just pay half the fee while the rest is paid by the tax agency.

Apart from maidinsweden, you can also try www.arpihjalp.com for expatriates.

In my personal experience, the babysitter that took care of my child was a real professional, not just your average whatever looking for an extra job...
