Where to watch NHL Hockey

How can I watch NHL playoffs in Sweden?

Hello hockey fans! I am a Canadian living in Sweden, and like most Canadians I love NHL hockey!

Problem: Viasat hockey has most games but is very expensive. I need a cheaper way to watch the playoffs this year.

Possible solutions: Internet free live streams, paid live streams, tv packages I am unaware of(although I am locked into Comhem), and any other solution to feed my hockey needs!

I am having trouble finding a reliable internet stream, but I am not extremely computer savvy so perhaps someone has been lucky enough to find a good feed. Last year I stayed up late or got up early several times to watch games, but often failed to find a solid source. Nothing worse then getting up at 4 in the morning to watch a game and then fail to actually watch anything more then Game Center updates at NHL.com.
Thanks in advance for your help! Perhaps its a tall order to find NHL hockey in Sweden and remain a frugal Canuck!
Take care!
Starving for Hockey,
Jeremy

Viasat Hockey & Viasat Sport are well worth the money! They show 15-20 live NHL games/week plus NHL Tonight. A couple times per month (and more during the playoffs) TV10 (owned by Viasat) will also show NHL games "for free" on regular, broadcast TV (Pens vs Devils was just on channel 10 on Saturday evening).

In other words you MUST get Viasat! It's well worth it! I actually get to see more of my hometown Pens games here than I did living in California for the past 14 years!

LET'S GO PENS!!!

I don't know how much help this will be for NHL playoffs, but I just worked this out during the world juniors. If TSN is showing the game, they most likely will have it on tsn.ca as well. They block out the streams from tsn.ca if your internet connection is from outside of Canada, but for some reason they don't block out international streams on rds.ca. So the commentary will be in French, but if you turn the volume down, and then find a radio call from nhl.com or something, you're sweet. But obviously this won't help for CBC games.

I'm trying to figure this out too, I don't have viasat either. We might have to suck it up and get viasat, or else find some sports bars with the games smile.gif

have you tried Viaplay? They get ALL NHL-games...I have it...the cost is 199kr/month I believe, but then you can watch Premier League, movies, different tv-shows etc..ugh, I don't even want to think about how many leafs games I've watched this season..
