Doubt you have much to worry about. You do not have to pay until you receive the invoice in the post and even then you are supposed to have a period of time to contest it (if you need or want to) before any interest payments accrue.

For approx €45 worth of a fine I am not sure they would bother however in saying that you never know! There may be some sort of agreement that is now in place between Ireland and Sweden... I doubt it, but you never know

Not sure how they get round the Data Protection Act in the UK and possibly Eire but they do it anyway.

The DVLA will release information to anyone who can show reasonable cause for their request for information. Reasonable cause is not defined in law so it is determined on a case-by-case basis. For enforcement of Parking tickets the reasonable cause is the enforcement of parking restrictions in an EU Member State.

did some checking on europark...they're being investigated for illegal practices and breaches of the fair trade act..also, the legal grey area surrounding a private company chasing up a public fine and the fact that it'll cost them more in resources than the fine itself means that if they're dumb enough to try to pursue me let them try...

i think i'm safe just to ignore the ticket...besides, if they have to send me a reminder in the next 10 days (when the fine is due) and if it fails to arrive then they can p*ss off as the ticket blew away in the wind and i didn't see it on my windshield

Is it really worth it to you to do all this checking up, stressing over 400SEK

For 400SEK I would just pay it and joke about it
