ICA Maxi will make a customised cake for you at a very reasonable ( for Sweden) price

Be aware though, that while the top might be customised (picture, whatever), the inside of a Swedish birthday cake is always the same-princess tårta.
Nice, but in my experience, not a favourite with kids because it's pretty sickly with all that cream. |

JulieLou is right.
The cakes here are almost always princess tårta or something almost exactly the same. They can come with banana or blueberry flavors (probably others) as well but they're all basically a princess tårta. Plain sponge, jam, sometimes a bit of fruit and a TON of cream, topped with marzipan. I honestly don't understand the Swedish obsession with them. All of that cream, jam and marzipan makes them disgustingly sweet and heavy. Give me a nice dark chocolate cake with a bit buttercream on top and I'm happy! You can sometimes find other cakes, but I have yet to find one that really impresses and they can be very expensive. If you want something other than princess tårta you're honestly much better off spending a couple hours and making one from scratch. |

Where are these "other" expensive cakes? I see only same stuff everywhere.
And how much is too much for a cake? And how much would you pay for that chocolate cake? I'll make you one :-) |

Any bakery should be able to make you a cake according to your wishes.
In supermarkets you will mostly find Princesstårta since it is easy to freeze and delicious when eaten partially frozen. For other cakes, most Swedes make them themselves. If you are lazy you just buy ready made cake bottoms, whip some cream and add some fresh fruit/jam/vanilla cream. A tip is to splash some lemonade or some sherry on the cake bottoms, otherwise it becomes too dry. |

there are plenty of other options, Bender is right...it's probably better to check with a bakery, they have more options..
