I've been living in Stockholm now for 6 months and I depend 100% on the public transportation system. I was just curious if anyone knows how often, if ever, the tunnelbana lines are updated or extended? And when was the last major change to the system?
I was thinking it would be nice to have the blue line extend past kungsträdgården. Also there are three green lines that run from fridehemsplan all the way to gulmarsplan. Seems like one of those lines should head in a different direction. Just wishful thinking I know There is a giant growth rate in Sweden so I wonder if new lines/stops might be added in the future?? These are pics of Sweden, Toyko, and Paris Metro to get an idea of other cities. http://tuben.nu/graphics/tunnelbana-small.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm..._subway_map.PNG http://www.ionbee.net/media/parismetromap.jpg |

Well... your proposal has already been given a green light and I think is past feasibility study phase
Unfortunately, these tend to be enormous construction projects, so it is not going to happen this decade. Links: http://www.svd.se/nyheter/stockholm/tunnel...cka_6925739.svd http://www.svd.se/nyheter/inrikes/utbyggd-...sar_6927481.svd ~~~PDX~~~ |
