Hello, I was a sambo to a Swedish citizen, that's how I got my PUT, however we broke up, and I moved back to my home country. I thought I would never go back to Sweden but somehow I fell in love with another Swede, and thinking about moving to Sweden again.
The question is, is my PUT from before still valid? I read it from the immigration office website, a PUT can be cancelled if I move out of Sweden for more than a year. It was January last year when I left Sweden. Will the staff from the custom stop me from entering EU? ( Planing to enter EU from Paris) |

Technically your PUT does expire if you reside outside of Sweden for one year.

Just wondering, doesn't the PUT become revoked when the relation ends?

Yes, but then you have to inform the authorities about this:)

No. Your PUT is not dependant upon the relationship, it was the UT without the Permanent (P) that were.
Once You have PUT it is almost the same as having citizenship, though it may be removed if You live outside of Sweden for more than 12 months ... and when You return you can ask for it to be re-issued, if it was cancelled. |

Do you mean if a person went to the authorities saying "Hey, I have a PUT based on a relation that has just ended", the authorities would revoke it? Otherwise, things go as if the relationship is still there. |

Is there a link on Migrationsverket website stating that? I looked all over and actually a friend of mine asked me the same question, but I told her that I think MS revokes a PUT which was based on a relation that has ended. |

A PUT is a PUT whether it comes after temporary work permit(s), or relationship(s) ...the conditions for the the original temporary permits UTs are no longer relevant once the PUT is issued.
They may remove the PUT if you move out of Sweden for 12 months or more, and will revoke it if it is proven that it was granted on false grounds/info. |

An official decision is necessary to revoke a permanent residence permit, this does not happen automatically. The Migration Board will try to contact the person before a decision is made.
