Translation of fasadkrön

Google translate not much help

Anyone out there who can explain what "ett fasadkrön" is?

Since the two separate words fasad and krön are easily translated, and it refers to buildings when you search it, at least the meaning is obvious....

Some sort of ornamental plasterwork or coping on the facade of a building? like a crest?

Yeah from a quick look on Google it appears to refer to an ornamental band on the façade at the eaves.

Thats exactly what I gathered from the (few) Google references. More than just coping stones. I knew that they use the term with decorative tops on tile stoves eg http://www.lindholm-kakelugnar.com/galleri...at=2&id=163
