(edit title) Advice: looking for an old friend from Stockholm Birth, deaths and marriage register for Stockholm Options

I have been trying all of the social media websites searching by name but think that this friend may have got married and changed their name since we last met.

Does anybody know if and where I can find a birth, death and marriage register in Stockholm?

Do you know her date of birth?

Ratsit has info on people unless they've got protected identities for some reason. With a new surname, that might not be very helpful though.

You can call Skatteverket once you have enough for them to localize the person in question. Date of birth is obviously the best, but they might be able to help you anyway, it depends. Skatteverket can then tell you where the person lives, if he/she has any kids, when they were born, the kids' names, the spose's name, when they were married/divorced etc. etc.

Dödboken (the death book, check local libraries) will tell you if a person is dead and if so, when they died and when/where they were buried.

Info on where a person has lived during different times in their life is available from Riksarkivet in the respective parts of the country where they've lived.

For you however, the main priority will be to obtain enough info to call Skatteverket or check the basic stuff on Ratsit. You might have to be creative - did he/she tell you something that might be a clue as to when he/she was born, what has her/his name etc. etc.
