Hi!
Moving this July to Sweden. Wondering if anyone had success setting up VPN or other means around the geolocation blocking to stream Netflix & Hulu from the US to Sweden.

I know my way around routers, VPNs and firewalls so don't be afraid to share technical details.

I have found a service that works perfectly for this and any other time you need to appear to be in the US or UK. You can watch TV directly from US websites, use Hulu or Netflix and many others.

Highly recommended!

Using StrongVPN last 2 months, netflx on blueray dvd works ok, not 100% perfect streaming but no problems watching films.

be warned though, some providers are finding a way to block VPN connections. i believe this is now the case with a UK based service called www.tvcatchup.com

Try overplay.net. I'ver had no problem using it with streaming and it gives you a good selection of different servers to use, it is a paid service $9 a month.

I have used them to watch Hulu...don't know abt netflix...

Hey - The best way to access Netflix, Hulu, iPlayer, etc., is by signing up with a cheap and reliable VPN provider. I recently tested a number of different solutions, and wrote a small article on it on my blog: http://vpn-geek.com/netflix/how-to-watch-n...outside-the-us/

One quick tip for improved performance: Once you have a Netflix subscription and a VPN service subscription, do the following:

1. Connect to you VPN service to a server in the U.S.
2. Open your browser
3. Go to Netflix
4. Choose a movie and click Play Now
5. Wait until you see the “Downloading Movie Information” message in the movie player
6. Disconnect from the VPN service and you are now using your full bandwidth

I have the opposite issue. I would like to watch web-based content originating in Sweden here in the U.S. on my computer. But in order to watch the programming I want to watch you have to be in Sweden, because it is blocked outside of Sweden.

I don't want to have to pay any money to do it.

i have been using overplay for two years now, i also recommend them. never once had problems.

very wide selection of countries included in the price, which was important for me, as i am from one country and grew up in another. on top of that i like to watch UK TV as well.
