Give an opinion about something and try to change something are two totally different things. And we have only been discussing the first one as far as I am aware. Nobody is trying to change anything..That would be at least ridiculous.. |

Of course there is a difference and I`ve just given my opinion. I haven`t said that anyone in this thread is trying to change anything I just spoke my mind. You seem very defensive. I agree with you thought that it would be ridiculous.

To the OP
Yes there is a noticeable difference. But since the flag is flying at full mast, it may be a good idea to smile and enjoy what you have. And be happy in the knowledge that if you were wrong, then these persons wouldn't be online looking to type instead. Don't get me wrong, I am sure many Swedes want to communicate. Just the means of how they do it are often disguised to hide a more important underlying issue that they don't want shown. Much in the same way when a young person gets absolutely piss drunk before being brave enough Togo out on the pull. As so to be able to blame the drink for any rejection or embaressemnt. |

I would like to do an experiment, out of curiosity. Next time I go home I’m going to smile and say “hej” to people I don’t know, much the same as people greet each other in Britain. And I shall see what the reaction will be. Would anyone like to join me?
