You want to lend this money to the company or become a shareholder?

That amount of money will buy you a significant or majority share only in a hot dog stand, but if you are serious, you should look for getting in here:

Lots of potential and money to be made smile.gif

well if the company is doing really well it makes no sense for them to share the ownership, and if they're doing crappy they'd probably welcome it..

Elmah, I think you may need to develop that plan a little, unless you think a 5 or 10% share in a business is significant.

What kind of return do you want? What time line? Silent partner, fully active or co-director level? What industry? Just chasing a visa?

Sounds to me like you are trying to buy your way into Sweden. If that is the case you can buy half of my business.

Sadly it won't even buy half my current overdraft/flexi loan, but thankfully a cheque from Södra will remedy that soon.

I guess the only positive if he is, is that at least it's capital flowing in, not out of the country.

I can be an active partner, specially when we talk about IT.
I do not mind being a silent partner (Own but do not run) but I do not prefer that kind of work.
It is not Visa Issue, but it is a life-change issue...every one have his reason...for me, I would like get my kids in a reputable schools and colleges.

If You expect any permit based around this investment, then You will fail! The requirement from Migrationsverket is that You not only own 50% or more, but You run the business and in their words ' ...that You have ultimate responsibility for it. ' ...silent partnership would be grounds to disqualify You.
