Scope of HVAC and Refrigeration jobs

Hi all,

My boyfriend is into the installation, maintainence and commisioning of AC / DX Units / Package & Chillers. He has worked in Kuwait (middle east) with many ministry and private projects for around 10years. As I am working in Sweden he is planning to work with me in Sweden. Is there any oppurtunities now, in this area for him? Any light over this is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

He needs to diversify into air sourced heat pumps etc.. Sweden in general has a cold, not a heat problem.

He needs to be certified to the relevant EU standards first, in order to deal with anything containing refrigerants. It doesn't have to be in swedish, as all the latest EU qualifications are 'supposed' to be transferable. I say 'supposed', as some companies and suppliers do want to recognise other EU qualifications.

The mining industry uses a lot of DX systems for heating and cooling. They can't use the same reticulated heating and cooling systems which are employed above ground. So there are some opportunities to explore in that area.
