hi all.
im just wondering if anyone has any idea if there is much demand for jobs in air conditioning and heating engineering, particularly in renewable energy, like ground heat source pumps, biomass, and solar etc etc. im english and have been with my girlfriend who is Swedish for 2 years now, living in england. she recently told me she plans on going back to sweden to live and study, in about a year and halfs time. ive been to sweden many times and i love it so choosing to go is an easy choice for me. im just worried about getting work mainly and where to focus my skills. ive been searching on the net for jobs in demand but finding infomaton is hard to find. considering sweden is the country which has the highest renewable energy sector i thought it would be ok finding work. anyway thanks for taking the time to read. |

I work for a large consultancy in the area you're experienced in. If you are looking for a design role, rather than a hands on role, there are good long term opportunities. Language is an issue, obviously, but my experience with consultancies has been that they are quite tolerant of language shortcomings so long as you are working hard to improve the skills. The work market is very bouyant with employers looking to hire with the future in mind, and with an eye to replacing staff due to retire.

Whereabouts in Sweden are/will you be based and are you looking at domestic, commercial or industrial applications?
The pellet industry is growing continuously in Sweden and they all need industrial dryers. Many come from near Jönköping Geothermal heating pumps (bergvärmepump) are also very popular. |

Hi all,
My boyfriend is into the installation, maintainence and commisioning of AC / DX Units / Package & Chillers. He has worked in Kuwait (middle east) with many ministry and private projects for around 10years. As I am working here he is planning to work with me in Sweden. Is there any oppurtunities now, in this area for him? Any light over this is much appreciated. Thanks in advance! |
