Hello all,
I'm a dj/ musician planning on visiting Sweden (specifically Stockholm) within the year. I'm thinking about perhaps bringing my decks with me and I'd like to get an idea of what------- Stockholm's/ Sweden's dj/ scene is like? - Where to go to hear/ see Djs - What kind of music is popular amongst djs and club goers at the moment. Any information would be appreciated! Thank you |

as an ex part time Dj myself, you need to know the right people in the stockholm club scene, you will hardly gets any work, even for free if you are not connected with the right people |

You will also need a work permit assuming you don't hold an EU citizenship!

Why would you bring your decks? I always bring my "travel" decks when I travel. It's a midi controller console, just in case I find some new music during my travels and feel the need to make a dj mix. Or if I just want to produce a track, etc... as an ex part time Dj myself, you need to know the right people in the stockholm club scene, you will hardly gets any work, even for free if you are not connected with the right people I think you've misunderstood my inquiry. I'm not looking for gigs for myself. I just want to know which local djs have reputations for being good, which clubs can I see them at, what kinds of music do they play, what kinds of crowds go to clubs etc... I don't expect to just hope off the plan on holiday and manage to swing some gigs my way. |

well the good clubs around stockholm are in Sodermalm and stureplan, all depends what type of music you like, Berns in stureplan plays a mix of styles over 3 different rooms, the more upmarket clubs are quite hard to get into unless you are on the guestlist but i will definitely start with sodermalm, they have a good mix of clubs |

I would consider removing your e-mail address. what you've just done there is invite all sorts of spam into your inbox... spambots crawl the web looking for e-mail addresses... unless you're looking for some knock off "Viagra"?
