Hello,
which carrier do you recommand to buy from a pre-paid sim for a tourist to make local calls? is there a company which also provide mobile internet services in the pre-paid card (or something similiar that will fit a tourist)? thanks! |

If you look at the advts on this site you will see that Comviq will send you a prepay sim for free. http://www.thelocal.se/readeroffer/comviq/ I have used them for 5 years now with no problems. Only "difficulty" is finding the best tariff to suite your use

Two questions:
1. Can I buy data access with this sim card? I use my phone for email, internet, maps, etc...more than making actual calls when I travel abroad. 2. Are Micro-SIMs available for my iPhone 4S? Thanks very much for any info you can provide. It would be GREAT to have a SIM ready to go when I land, and free, too! |

Thanks.
My questions were not meant to imply that web data and microSims were magical mystery items unavailable in Sweden. I was curious about the free Sim offer in the post above - I've had experience with prepaid Sims only working to make calls and not data. Same with the MicroSim - it's obvious they are available, I was just asking whether anyone knew if I could get one with the free offer. I really appreciate your kind and informative response. |

Hi ,
After trying three companies, I know a bit more about price and possibilities... First I tried - Comviq : They have 195 kr and 295 kr prepaid card. The first include 0,2 Go of internet, the second 1 Go. After finishing your data, you can use the rest of your call credit (the 195 or 295 kr) in data (If I remember it's 6kr by day to have another 100Mo (for the day), then if you use more than the 100 Mo in the day you pay 1kr by Mo... Yeah, very difficult to understand...). The prices for the call and text was ok, but it's quite expansive anyway. Then I found better - Telenor : for 300 kr you simply have illimited internet, 3000 text (to swedish number) and you have 400kr of call credit. But if you want to call abroad, the prices are quite expansive, the text also (like 3kr for one text !). Then I found the pearl - 3 (tri) : for 200 kr, you could have illimited internet, and you could ask for special price to call abroad ! I didn't all understand, but for me the price was very cool (less than 1kr by minute to a call on a french number and 0,6 kr to start the call, 0,7 kr for a text). I think the reason of low price is that I have more expensive price to call in sweden, but it's not a problem ! So that's all I know, I hope it could help you ! (and for information, my sim card could be cut in a tiny sim card |
