Making friends with Swedish people

I have visited Stockholm twice and found the Swedes I spoke to pleasant, friendly and helpful.
It gave me the impression that if I moved to Sweden, I wouldn't have a problem making good friends amongst Swedes.

I am now considering moving to Sweden.

However, a major stumbling block are reports from other foreign nationals I spoke to when there, that it was very difficult to find any Swedish friends (not acqaintances) and that the majority of their friends were non-Swedish.

How true is this in people's experience?

I would be grateful for any balanced views on the subject.
