Hi,
as far as I know there's parking on the main street ( Dag Hammarskjölds väg) all the way along and its not normally very busy there, http://www.hitta.se/LargeMap.aspx?var=G%E4...gatan+Stockholm |

Actually, there is little if any parking allowed on that street - there are several embassies located there, and you can only enter from the Valhallavagen end as the other end is closed off. As I recall there may be a few spots on Valhallavagen. Best bet is to take the 69 or 76 bus if you have business in that area.

I just punched up that address and realized its the embassy area of stockholm (british, german , american embassies etc) Obviously due to the nature of this area, parking is possible but security can be on / off at times.
Outside the main US embassy, there is a parking area for normal civilians I believe. (this is on the main road) Generally speaking its not a super busy area and is rather quiet in this part of town. If the worst comes to the worst, you would just need to go towards karlavagen / karlaplan for more normal parking if needed. |

The respondent who said the there is street parking around there is quite correct. Park out side the English church...free at weekends and 15kr and hour during the week.

QUOTE By the English Church, do you mean the Episkopala Kyrkan? Indeed. http://www.stockholmanglicans.net/ "Known in Stockholm as The English Church (Engelska Kyrkan), English is our shared language, not our nationality." |

There is alot of free parking around there in the evenings on the road of course. I do that when we go to Djurgården and walk across.
If you have an iPhone or iPad or something i, then try this app called Gatuparkering Stockholm you can find it here: http://itunes.apple.com/se/app/gatuparkeri...d515390640?mt=8 You get a free trial for a week or so which is enough to park for a few hours, I use this around Stockholm, worth paying for. |
