(edit title) A way for an american to study free here? Marriage > permanent residence permit > studying? Options

So my girlfriend is from U.S.A. and from what I've gathered, she would normally need to pay for going to school here, seeing she's not a EU citizen or anything.
My question is now, if we were to marry, am I wrong in thinking she would then be able to be granted permanent residence permit, and having that, studying would then be free as well as she would be granted money from CSN, if she were to get into a university to study for a master's degree?

Marriage makes no difference but after obtaining PUT, approximately two years, school is free.

For tuition-free she doesn't need PUT, and doesn't need to wait 2 years either. If she gets any residence permit other than the studentship based one (e.g. UT for cohabitant/sambo), then she does not pay tuition fee.

Correct - any residence permit for any duration as long as the permit was not granted for studying i.e.a student visa then education is paid for by the state. No need to have a PUT at all, BUT you would need a PUT for CSN support.

The only way your girlfriend could be entitled to CSN before the normal 2 years pointed out by other posters is if you get her pregnant but I don't think it is the best option though, since her pregnancy will affect her efficiency in school. It would have been easier if you are the girl and she is the guy. But if she is a viking that can study with pregnancy, then go ahead and get her pregnant That makes her to be entitled to CSN before PUT.
